Last year, while in Baton Rouge I stumbled across Red Door Interiors. I was excited to get the chance to go back this week as I’ve been waiting to go. Let me show you why.
They have a good-sized pewter collection in a room all to itself. Here is a tiered tray I considered and a wall bracket that I liked but knew I didn’t need.
The wall bracket could be used as a candle sconce. It is legit and these were too.
Look at them being all old and gorgeous just waiting for some tapered candles.
I liked the starburts that hung on the arms of the sconce to hold crystals. Great metallic colors. Their lighting selection was what caught my attention the last time/my first time there.
This drum shade chandy was good too.
This turquoise piece has some wires hanging off of it from the beading. So, it needed a trim but that wouldn’t have stopped me from telling someone to buy it.
Besides their lighting selection, they have interesting/detailed furniture. They had some headboards, which I didn’t remember from the past. They were the going rate if not less for a nailhead, upholstered headoard- a queen was around $900. However, this dresser caused me a long pause. I opened all the drawers and
pretended to being putting stuff inside looked around.
Look at the detail. The nailheads are individual.
They have some good pillows. I loved the colors of this chicken. Plus, it was a chicken (I like chickens) but in a modern presentation.
They like burlap there and I thought this could be a DIY project for someone.
They had a couple of sizes of paper weights.
I saved the best for last. These foo dogs are a 10 on whatever “What’s the jam?” scale you have. They’re lightweight, like a paper mache with resin and $100 each.
They were a good size and I’m calling them for dimensions. Why? Because I want to buy two of them to flank our front door. They had these iron urns that would be good too and are what I’ve been looking for.
They’re good. Real good. But I want great not just good. The foo dogs are great.
What if I got both? Now, I’m just being
They say they ship items that are not breakable. I specifically asked about the foo dogs and they said yes. So, they may happen. Fo’ real. I’ve already drawn up a potential stand for them.
