Recently, I was on the road in Tullahoma, Tennessee for a few weeks. It was a very busy trip but I’m glad I found 10 minutes to stop into Brinkley’s. There wasn’t much to do in Tullahoma and there were even less shopping options. Brinkley’s had a pretty good selection of gifts and home decor items including a section of faux flowers. They had a few faux succulent arrangements for sale. They carried Trapp Candles and they were fairly busy the short amount of time I was there. I’d go back – if it wasn’t in Tullahoma. Don’t get me wrong, the people of Tullahoma were very nice but it’s off the beaten path. You’d only go on your way to the George Dickel or Jack Daniels distillaries.
This was the first thing I saw. It’s a candle pedestal with a bird figurine on it. It’s good way of giving a figurine more scale.
Across from it was this bowl of napkin rings. I think they were $6.50 each. They had a lot of fun colors.
In their upstairs area, I think they’re renting it from the carpet store as it’s not attached to their space, I found this artichoke tureen. I believe it was $75.00.
I really liked this pair of parrot figurines. They were $142.00.
They had this pair of dog figuriness. I still preferred the parrots.
There was only had this one fruit topiary. As a pair, it’d be cute on a wall bracket flanking a dining room door or in a kitchen.
I left empty handed, but I really wanted those parrots. I’d like to brag on my self control. I’ve been thinking about them and found this similar set. They appear to be from the same maker.
here for $125.00
I still may like the pair at Brinkley’s more. I like how the one is looking over it’s shoulder. You gotta watch your back.
